Breast Cancer Performance Results

Patients who felt sure about the right choice for them

We recommend that patients who are candidates for breast cancer surgery visit the Center for Shared Decision Making. It is a free service for our patients with many tools and decision aids to help patients make decisions about their health and health care.

For patients diagnosed with early stage invasive breast cancer, we have a video that includes information to help you understand how cancer grows in the breast and how it is treated, what to expect with each surgical treatment, a comparison of treatments, and questions to keep in mind. The video can help patients decide which treatment is right for them.

We ask patients to fill out a short questionnaire after watching the video. 65% of patients answered that they felt sure about the right treatment choice for them.
