OB/GYN: Obstetrics, Gynecology & Nurse Midwifery
From preconception to giving birth, our obstetricians, nurse-midwives and nurses are here to support your pregnancy. We offer a full range of prenatal testing and genetic counseling, as well as specialty high-risk Obstetrical care. Patients give birth either at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon or at hospitals near our other locations.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock offers OB/GYN services in Concord, Keene, Lebanon (DHMC), Manchester and Bedford, Nashua, New Hampshire and Southwestern Vermont.
In U.S.News & World Report's "Best Hospitals 2011-2012" issue, Dartmouth-Hitchcock earned a Top 50 ranking for its care in Gynecology; the 2011-12 edition marks the fifth consecutive year and the ninth time since 1995 that our program has been ranked.
The New Hampshire Fertility Center offers treatments such as in vitro fertilization and in utero insemination, and using our many testing and treatment options, we can address many conditions that lead to infertility and pregnancy loss.
The Gynecologic Oncology division diagnoses and treats gynecologic cancers, participates in clinical trials, and works to advance understanding of cancer research.
We treat incontinence, voiding difficulties, and pelvic relaxation through our division of Urogynecology.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Receives Baby-Friendly Designation
DHMC has been recognized as a Baby-Friendly® birth facility by Baby-Friendly USA, Inc., a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The initiative encourages and recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. There are more than 20,000 designated Baby-Friendly hospitals and birth centers worldwide and 142 active Baby-Friendly hospitals and birth centers in the United States.
Dr. Bonny Whalen, CHaD pediatrician, medical director of the Newborn Nursery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and a certified lactation consultant, discusses the Baby-Friendly® initiative.
