Community Health Improvement and Benefits
Within Dartmouth-Hitchcock, we help set priorities for the institution's community health initiatives. We join with United Way and other partners to help set goals and assess health needs. We arrange for Dartmouth-Hitchcock staff and other resources to support local projects that share these goals.
All of the activities we have described are called "community benefits." CHIB coordinates Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Community Benefits program, which includes filing an annual report with the State of New Hampshire and a community needs assessment every five years. These documents must be posted on the Internet by law.
