Chaplaincy Services

The Chaplaincy Department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center helps address the spiritual well being of patients, family members, and staff.

The Chaplaincy provides personal support, crisis intervention, spiritual care and guidance, short term counseling, and liaison with local religious communities. Chaplains seek to promote the worth and dignity of each individual and provide pastoral care consistent with individuals' own traditions and beliefs. There is never an attempt to proselytize or impose beliefs or practices.

The hospital chapel

The Medical Center provides a beautiful Chapel as a place of public worship and private meditation. The Chapel is adjacent to the elevator lobby on Level 3 of the Patient Towers. It is open 24 hours a day and patients, visitors and staff are welcome.
